Run-time Review: Thor: The Dark World

Film: Thor: The Dark World
Running Time: 112 minutes

This was a good sequel. Since the first film tackled the growth of the character of Thor from immature whiny boy to being a responsible guardian of the realms, this movie focused less on his character growth and more on the action and CGI magic.

The dialogue still drives the movie forward, and the humor is spot-on. The interaction of characters overall was fun, though the sequel still lacks to give anyone other Thor and Jane any decent character development, growth or background. They’re still generic Asgard people, with less-than-generic costumes. The Dark Elf, the film’s villain, was powerful, but lacked any character. Loki though was well-performed once again. Overall, not bad.

Final Verdict: 7.5/10
