Run-Time: 135 mins.
The Bourne Legacy is a brilliant half-movie. It has a great first and second act but has a weak climax that leads to an abrupt end. The movie follows Aaron Cross, an agent of sister program to Treadstone, which created Jason Bourne. When Bourne escaped at the culmination of the last film, the US government went on a purge, killing all their agents. Cross escapes and then seeks the truth with Dr. Marta Shearing. A lot of the shots were well executed, and the acting was, for the most part, natural, and the action was pretty decent. Edward Norton was wasted, doing practically nothing though and Bourne’s nemesis wasn’t a real threat. It had a many good things going for it, sans the villains, but with this run-time, I expected and a much better story.
